Mobilizing, coordinating, and directing humanitarian aid and relief efforts to the Syrian people. The Assistance Coordination Unit will look to support the development of existing networks, and seek to expand partnerships in order to ensure effective distribution operations.
The ACU also seeks to build effective coordination processes in order to deliver its aid inside Syria as quickly as possible from bases in southern Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq. The goal of the ACU employees and units is to coordinate the aid and its delivery according to need. This includes gathering goods from donors nations and working with the Syrian Coalition and Local Coordination Councils to direct the delivery of goods.
