The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has revealed that the PYD militia has abducted a girl from Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) as part of their enforced conscription efforts. The girl, identified as Farah Khalli and born in 2009, was seized by members of the so-called Revolutionary Youth group associated with the PYD militia.
The incident occurred on August 7 when Khalli was taken from her residence in the village of Al-Qanaya within the Ayn Al-Arab sub-district in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province. She was then taken to a recruitment center in Al-Hasakah province with the apparent intent of compelling her into military activities.
The human rights organization has highlighted that Farah’s family was not informed of her abduction, and her communication with them has been deliberately severed, depriving them of any contact or visitation. Concerns have been raised regarding the possibility of her forced participation in both direct and indirect military actions.
According to the SNHR, approximately 271 children remain subjected to conscription within camps administered by the PYD militia.
