Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir on Thursday received Riyadh Hijab, General Coordinator of the Syrian opposition’s High Negotiations Committee in the Saudi capital Riyadh to discuss the latest developments in Syria.
Al-Jubeir reaffirmed his country’s support for the Syrian people. The two sides also discussed the latest field developments in Syria as well as the outcome of the Geneva meetings.
Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat reaffirmed the Kingdom is ready to do whatever is needed to help the HNC carry out its role in the best way possible as well as to re-activate its role and expand its scope as crucial to unifying the efforts, closing ranks, and come up with a unified position.
Saudi Arabia continues with the provision of unwavering support for the Syrian people and their revolution against the tyrannical Assad regime. The Kingdom supports the Syrian people’s struggle to get rid of the Assad regime and free the country from regime forces and their allied foreign militias.
Saudi Arabia has repeatedly condemned the criminal practices of the Assad regime and the massacres it is committing against children, women and the elderly.
