Lebanese Minister of State for Refugee Affairs Mouin Merehbi said that the Hezbollah Militia is seeking to deport Syrian refugees to Western countries in implementation of the Iranian plans for bringing about demographic change in Syria.
In an interview with Watan FM Radio, Merehbi said that the Hezbollah and the Free Patriotic Movement in Lebanon, who are allies of the Assad regime, are planning to deport Syrian refugees to European countries and not to allow their return to Syria. He noted that the plan is part of the Iranian project to bring about demographic change in Syria.
Merehbi said that the Assad regime’s allies are in contact with European countries, Canada and the United State to urge them to receive more Syrian refugees living in Lebanon.
Merehbi pointed out that he has received information about the Assad regime’s execution of at least 20 returning Syrian refugees over the past few months. He said that these killings were systematic and target Syrian refugees returning from Lebanon to Syria.
The Lebanese minister said that Assad’s allies in Lebanon should demand that the terrorist Hezbollah withdraw from the towns and villages it is occupying in Syria so that Syrian refugees can return home.
The Lebanese minister had revealed last week that Hezbollah militia kidnapped Syrian refugees residing in the area of ​​Aramoun, noting that the kidnapped included Khaled Jassim al-Faraj, Walid Mohammed al-Hussein, and Mohammed Mahmoud al-Jassim.”
The Syrian Coalition condemned the violations being committed by the Hezbollah militia against the Syrian refugees, stressing that these violations violate international laws on protection of refugees and constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.
