The Vice President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdul Majeed Barakat, said that the PYD terrorist militia continues to commit crimes against civilians in the areas under their control. This occurs even as they claim seriousness about negotiating to lay down their arms and integrate into the ranks of the new Syrian army.
In a press statement, Barakat pointed out that the ongoing crimes by the PYD militia against civilians indicate that their true intentions contradict their claims. He added that they are working to buy more time to preserve their military entity, which threatens the unity of the country and its social fabric.
Barakat emphasized that this militia is a real obstacle to restoring sovereignty over all Syrian territories. He noted that their desire to maintain their military entity as a single bloc serves to commit further crimes, terrorize residents, and operate under foreign agendas.
He stressed that the current delay in negotiations cannot continue indefinitely, adding that a military solution remains a serious option to eliminate all terrorist organizations and establish control over all Syrian lands.
Barakat reaffirmed that the future Syrian state will be built on the principles of justice and equal citizenship under the law, without discrimination against any group, including the Kurds, who are an integral part of the Syrian people.
The Deir Ezzor 24 website reported that the PYD terrorist militia killed two brothers, Aliwi and Barho Al-Taa’ma, during raids on the village of Majibra, southeast of Al-Hasakah. They also conducted a raid and arrest campaign targeting several individuals in the town of Al-Izbah, north of Deir Ezzor Province.
