The Vice President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdul Majeed Barakat, stated that the fate of all terrorist organizations east of the Euphrates will be to flee, just as the criminal Bashar al-Assad did. He affirmed that displaced residents and refugees from these areas will be able to return to their homes and reunite with their families, as has happened in other liberated parts of Syria.
In a press statement, Barakat noted that the provinces of Raqqa, Hasakah, and Qamishli will soon be free and return to their rightful residents. These areas will be administered by their people, with participation from all ethnicities, sects, and religions.
Barakat emphasized that Syrians are united in their commitment to preserving the country’s territorial integrity, expelling all terrorist organizations, and restoring security and stability. He stressed that Raqqa will soon be fully liberated.
He added that the liberation of Raqqa will follow the same model as other liberated areas, ensuring the protection of public and private properties, maintaining state institutions and services, and avoiding any acts of retribution against any group or entity.
