The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) political committee held its regular meeting on Thursday. During the meeting, the committee discussed the latest developments on the ground and in Syria’s political landscape and reviewed work reports from its various offices, departments, and committees.
SOC President Hadi Al-Bahra provided an overview in which he discussed the recent meeting of the Syrian Negotiations Commission, the outcomes of the meeting with the head of the Syria Regional Platform at the U.S. State Department, and the meeting with SOC’s components.
SOC’s Vice Presidents presented summaries of their work plans for the coming month, which aim to expand the activities of the SOC, particularly in the area of specialized and joint working groups with active Syrian organizations.
The attendees also discussed regional developments affecting Syria, especially the escalation of the conflict in Gaza and the possibility of it evolving into a regional war.
