The political committee of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) held a regular meeting on Thursday to discuss the latest on-the-ground and political developments in Syria.
SOC’s President, Hadi Al-Bahra, provided an overview of the meetings held by the Syrian Negotiations Commission on Tuesday and Wednesday. During these meetings, the Commission conducted a political review of recent developments and worked on formulating a transitional strategy to guide its future efforts. This strategy focuses on continuing to strengthen and deepen ties with Syrian society and its key active forces.
Al-Bahra also discussed ongoing communications with the Turkish authorities aimed at improving the conditions of Syrian refugees in Türkiye and collaborating to regularize their legal status.
The committee reviewed a field report from the military bloc, which covered the latest developments. The report highlighted the continued attacks by the PYD militia on the liberated areas and the role of the Syrian National Army in repelling these attacks. It also addressed the crimes committed by regime forces against civilians, whether through rocket and artillery shelling or suicide drone attacks.
