On Wednesday, President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi al-Bahra, visited the headquarters of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) in Istanbul, where he met with its president, Bülent Yıldırım. They discussed ways to maximize the impact of humanitarian projects supporting Syrian refugees in Türkiye and Lebanon, as well as displaced persons in liberated areas.
Accompanying al-Bahra during the visit were Ahmad Baccora, Coordinator of the Refugee and Displaced Persons Working Group, and Firas al-Masri, Supervisor of the Organizations Working Group.
During the meeting, the attendees emphasized the importance of cooperation, coordination, and joint efforts to benefit those in need, whether in Syria or in neighboring host countries.
Al-Bahra expressed deep gratitude to the President of IHH and its global team for their significant and ongoing humanitarian contributions to the Syrian people. He also praised the organization’s efforts in housing, orphan care, and small-scale projects.
