Multiple news sources are reporting that the Assad regime has once again crossed international red lines by the use of chemical weapons. Regime forces hit the town of Adra, on the outskirts of Damascus, last night with poison gas. The attack killed four people and affected 50 others, some with suffocation and others with fatigue accompanied by a severe allergic reaction.
Syrian lives are in grave danger, as the international community remains silent in the face of the latest chemical attack on a highly populated area near Damascus.
The Syrian Coalition decries international inaction as Assad’s regime crosses red lines by the use of chemical weapons. We call on the world to stand by their humanitarian commitments to halt Assad’s crimes against humanity.
The Syrian Coalition rejects the inaction of the international community. This inaction has plunged Syria into perpetual crisis, where massacres and torture have become tolerated daily occurrences. The world must take a strong and immediate stance against these injustices and end the horrific crimes against the Syrian people.
We ask for Mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
Long live Syria and its people, free and with honor.
