Press Statement
Khalid Saleh
Syrian Coalition Media Office President
Istanbul, Turkey
February 23, 2014
We condemn the attack on the Orient Charity Hospital in the village of Atma, near the borders with Turkey, which took the lives of more than 12 civilians and injured many more.
This cowardly attack targeting the ill and the injured, along with doctors comes in a series of violations and abuses carried out by the Assad regime against innocent civilian, medical staff, and humanitarian personnel.
The Syrian Coalition offers its condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed in the bombing. Those responsible for committing war crimes in Syria should know it is inevitable that they will be put on trial and face justice. They must realize violence can never break the will of the Syrian people calling for freedom, justice, and democracy.
We ask for Mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
Long live Syria and its people, free and with honor.
