I strongly condemn the shooting at a free-speech event at a cafe in Copenhagen. My thoughts are with the families of the two people killed, as well as those injured in the attack.
Freedom of expression is a revered right, in the pursuit of which hundreds of thousands of Syrians have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
At such a difficult and sad time, we stand with the Danish government and people, as they assert their resilience in the face of extremism and gross aggression against the values of democracy and free speech.
