The Syrian Coalition condemns the cowardly attack that took place today in Aleppo which took the life of Ali Sweidan, member of the Provincial Council in Aleppo, and injured many others. A rocket fired from Assad’s airplanes hit the council’s headquarters in the town of Hureitan, rural Aleppo.
The Syrian Coalition sends its deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Sweidan and wishes his injured colleagues rapid recovery. Dr. Sweidan died in the line of duty. The Syrian people will never forget those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and will continue to struggle against tyranny and suppression until they achieve their freedom.
May our wounded recover, our detainees be free, and our fallen heroes rest in peace.
