Ministers from the 11 core members of the Friends of Syria met in Doha yesterday to discuss the current dire situation in Syria.
The Syrian Coalition was not a participant at the meeting but welcomes the decisions of the Friends of Syria to support the revolution.
The Syrian Coalition urges the Friends of Syria to include representation at future meetings from the Syrian Coalition as the official representative of the Syrian people. Furthermore, the Syrian Coalition stresses the importance of implementing a transitional period that excludes a role for Bashar Al Assad.
The Syrian Coalition emphasizes the need for more solutions to help end the conflict, stop the bloodshed, and achieve the Syrian people’s aspirations of freedom and dignity.
We ask for mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded and freedom for our detainees.
