We pay tribute to the fallen heroes of the Syrian people on the eight anniversary of the massacre carried out by the PYD terrorist militia against unarmed demonstrators in the town of Amuda on June 27, 2013. The crime came in the context of the brutal crackdown on the forces of the Syrian revolution and opposition in al-Hasaka, Qamishli and their surroundings in service of the Assad regime.
Acknowledging this crime, holding those responsible accountable and compensating the victims will be the beginning of a long road that includes dismantling terrorist organizations, cutting any ties with the leaders of the PKK terrorist organization, the withdrawal of all foreign forces from Syrian territory, and severing organic ties and agency for the benefit of the Assad regime.
These militias are against life and freedom as they cannot be a partner in building any nation. Their crimes are continuing, especially the repression and terrorism against civilians, as what has happened recently in the town of Manbij when eight civilians were shot dead, and the rest of the crimes of mass displacement, arrest, enforced disappearance and forced conscription.
The Syrian Opposition Coalition reaffirms its rejection and denunciation of the silence about the crimes of these organizations as well as the continuing support, financing, arming, protection and sponsorship of these groups. We reiterate the call for the dismantling and withdrawal of all terrorist groups and militias and foreign fighters from Syria.
