The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) condemns the bloody, treacherous attack that the PYD terrorist militia committed against displaced people in the town of Azaz in northern rural Aleppo. Rocket shelling originating from areas jointly controlled by the Assad regime and PYD militia targeted a popular market in Azaz late on Wednesday, killing five people and wounding many others.
The SOC extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Syrian people. It calls on the Syrian National Army to respond to the attacks targeting the liberated areas and Turkish territory in order to deter these militias and defend civilians.
The repeated heinous crimes of the PYD terrorist militia have shown time and again they are supporting the Assad regime and shares its goals of killing civilians and destabilizing the liberated areas.
We offer our sincere condolences to families of the victims and wish the wounded a speedy recovery.
