As the Syrian people’s battle against terrorism and its sponsors continues on all fronts, a cowardly terrorist bombing today killed three people while they were carrying out their duty to maintain security as part of their work in the Free Police Forces.
The car bomb explosion targeting the village of Tal Halaf in the Ras Al-Ayn region in northern rural al-Hasaka also injured civilians.
These terrorist bombings targeting the Syrian people and seeking to spread chaos and destruction will fail to achieve their goals. We will bring those responsible to justice.
We will continue to fight terrorism and terrorist organizations that kill civilians, threaten public order, and commit acts of kidnapping, torture, and forced displacement.
The Syrian Opposition Coalition warns of the dangers of these terrorist operations, albeit sporadic, as it stresses that these attacks must be dealt with all seriousness. We also stress the need to support the Syrian National Army and the institutions of the Syrian Interim Government in order to defeat these organizations by cutting off their sources of funding; ensuring they are dismantled; and eliminating all threats they pose.
