Activists have recently published a shocking video of Russian mercenaries torturing and beheading a Syrian man. The leaked footage showed the mercenaries striking the man with a sledgehammer before cutting off his hands and head. They then hang him upside down by the feet and posed for a picture with his corpse before dousing it with petrol and lighting it on fire.
It is impossible for any human being to watch this gruesome footage without feeling utter disgust and shock. This heinous crime brings to mind the crimes of the Assad’s regime’s militias, the Iranian militias, ISIS and their likes.
Regardless of the date of this crime or of its revelation, the perpetrators must be held accountable and brought to justice, chief among them is the number one criminal who brought mercenaries from everywhere to assist him in the killing and mass displacement of the Syrian people.
We reiterate one again that those criminals will fail to extinguish the flame of freedom in the hearts of the Syrian people for which they are making tremendous sacrifices.
This atrocious crime must remind the international community of its responsibilities with regards to the protection of civilians, implementation of international resolutions, and ensuring that war criminals and perpetrators of crimes against humanity do not escape punishment.
