The speech that the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delivered at the UN General Assembly on Thursday came to express the conscience of the Syrian people and reflect the reality of what is happening on the ground in Syria.
The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) highly appreciates the firm positions of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its role in foiling the conspiracies aimed at the normalization of ties with the Assad regime. It also commends the Kingdoms’ firm support for all UN resolutions on Syria.
Since day one, the Kingdom’s have stood on the side of the Syrian people in their struggle against the terrorism and criminality of the Assad regime and Iranian militias.
We reaffirm the importance of the Saudi political and diplomatic role that is capable of pushing for a solution in Syria and contributing to urging the international community towards implementing UN Security Council resolutions, especially resolutions 2118 and 2254.
