The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) reaffirms the legitimate right of the Syrian people, in all their components, to reclaim their country and land, which have been seized by the Assad regime and the Iranian militias supporting it, as well as by the PYD militia affiliated with the PKK terrorist organization. This is essential to ensure the security and stability of liberated areas and to free Syrians from ongoing violations and war crimes, including bombings, attacks, and security threats originating from these areas. The SOC fully supports the Syrian National Army in the Dawn of Freedom Operation and the liberation battles launched in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.
The Dawn of Freedom Operation is a response to years of pleas from Syrians seeking liberation, the removal of oppression, and relief from tyranny and injustice. It is a response to the continuous assaults by the Assad regime, which has insisted on a military solution and obstructed political efforts, exacerbating the Syrian tragedy and creating numerous crises for the Syrian people. On the other hand, the PYD terrorist militia continues its separatist project, its shelling of liberated areas, and its violations against civilians, acting in collusion with the Assad regime in committing crimes. These threats have prompted the military leadership of the Syrian National Army to take necessary measures to protect civilians and secure the return of displaced persons, who continue to endure severe humanitarian conditions.
The SOC calls on the international community to provide all forms of support to the Syrian people, who remain steadfast in their demands for a political solution that ensures their rights and aspirations for a Syria built on the foundations of justice, freedom, and democracy—a Syria where there is no place for the Assad regime and its brutal security apparatus. It envisions a Syria that guarantees life, equality, and dignity for all its citizens, regardless of their backgrounds, beliefs, or cultures.
