The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) condemns the abduction of members of the Kurdish National Council parties by the PYD terrorist militia. The abducted members are: Mohammad Tahlo, Ahmad Taher Ramo, and Fathi Sarhan Kado. The SOC demands immediate intervention from the international anti-ISIS coalition to secure their release and to put an end to the multiple violations committed by the PYD militia against Syrians.
The policies and violations of the PYD terrorist militia, which operates under various names and organizations, whether through arrests or sabotage of the Kurdish National Council offices in areas under their control, reflect a systematic approach of repression and exclusion. These actions lack any legal justification and aim to silence opposition voices and suppress peaceful political activities.
The SOC stresses that the restrictions and violations carried out by the PYD militia affect Arabs, Kurds, and all Syrians alike. Furthermore, these actions hinder the political resolution in Syria in accordance with UN resolutions, alongside the Assad regime. We call on the member states of the international anti-ISIS coalition to exert their efforts to stop these violations and to release all detainees of conscience.
