The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) extends its warm congratulations to the Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the Syrian people, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The SOC asks Allah to grant the Syrian people a victorious and peaceful celebration next Eid, and to shower humanity with goodness and blessings.
However, the Syrian people are celebrating Eid al-Fitr in difficult circumstances due to the ongoing violations and massacres committed by the Assad regime. The SOC expresses concern about the normalization of relations between some countries and the criminal Assad regime, which has caused immense suffering to the Syrian people for more than 12 years.
Millions of displaced people are enduring dire humanitarian conditions, while families of the deceased and detainees continue to suffer from unimaginable pain. The tears of bereaved mothers who have lost their children due to the Assad regime’s brutal tactics call upon all revolutionaries to shoulder their responsibility, persevere, and continue their struggle until the dawn of a free Syria.
Despite all challenges and obstacles, the Syrian people remain a determined, persistent, and hopeful nation with a bright future. They are steadfast in their revolution to achieve freedom, dignity, and a new Syria that does not tolerate the presence of the Assad regime and its militias. The SOC, likewise, remains determined to follow in the footsteps of the Syrian people and uphold the goals and principles of the great Syrian revolution.
