The Syrian Coalition welcomes all international efforts calling for a political solution, which achieve the aspirations and hopes of the Syrian people for a democratic state that begins with the removal of the Assad regime.
It is important to note that the Assad regime rejected all initiatives that have been presented thus far to resolve the crisis. Furthermore, during these past two years, the Assad regime not only set obstacles to reach any international or Arab agreement, but also continued massacring tens of thousands of innocent civilians, imprisoning over two hundred thousand in the well-known Assad torture dungeons, and causing the exodus of over 5 million Syrians.
