The Syrian Coalition condemns the horrible acts of execution carried out by the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham (ISIS), including the recent execution of two activists in rural Aleppo.
The Coalition reiterates that ISIS is an enemy of the Syrian people. It represents a serious threat to the Syrian uprising and the future of Syria. The Coalition is fully committed to protecting civilians by all means against this extremist group, as well as against the Assad regime and militias fighting alongside it.
The Syrian Coalition calls on the international community to increase support to the mainstream opposition, to enable it to protect civilians against all forms of terrorism, including the atrocities Assad’s thugs are perpetrating against innocent civilians on a daily basis in Syria.
May our wounded recover, our detainees be free, and our fallen heroes rest in peace.
