The Syrian Coalition extends the warmest congratulations to Assyrian community in Syria, the diaspora, and the host countries on the occasion of Akitu day, which falls on the first of April of every year. The Assyrian community celebrated the 6767th Babylonian Assyrian New Year on Saturday.
The Akitu festival marks the rebirth of nature in the spring, securing the life and future of the people for the coming year.
All components of the Syrian society are today fighting a heroic battle to regain freedom and get rid of tyranny once and for all, inspired by the heroism and courage from a long, rich history and looking forward to a bright future.
May our wounded recover, our detainees be free, and our fallen heroes rest in peace.
Long live Syria and the Syrian people, free and with honor.
