The Syrian Coalition categorically denies allegations propagated by the Iranian militias and their media outlets about the presence of elements of the ISIS extremist group and Fateh Alsham Front (formerly known as the Nusra Front) in the Wadi Barada valley northwest of Damascus.
The Syrian Coalition confirms that the only forces defending the area against the ongoing assault by regime forces and the Iranian and the Hezbollah militias are the Free Syrian Army groups.
These baseless allegations have been clearly made to justify the violation of the ceasefire and the assault on Wadi Barada.
The Coalition urges guarantors of the agreement to put an end to these violations and prevent the assault by the regime and Iranian militias.
