The Syrian National Coalition mourns the death of Secretary-General of the Syrian Democratic Left Party, Mansour Al-Atassi, the intellectual, long-time dissident, and the man who left us after a long struggle against tyranny defending the rights of the Syrian people and the aspirations of their revolution.
Al-Atassi’s political and social views as well as his intellectual legacy and economic vision will contribute to shaping our future and developing our view of reality and the solutions to overcome obstacles and open up new horizons for us.
The Coalition extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Al-Atassi and to all members of the Syrian Democratic Left Party, stressing the need to continue down his course in defending the legitimate rights of the Syrian people.
May Al-Atassi rest in peace.
