The Syrian Coalition welcomes the joint statement signed by 58 counties urging the United Nations Security Council to adopt a French resolution to refer Syria to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“We should not forget that we are responsible not only for our actions but also for our inactions. We therefore call upon the Security Council to go forward and to adopt the resolution,” the statement said.
The Syrian Coalition renews its call on Security Council members not to disrupt what could be the first step towards holding perpetrators of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Syria responsible.
May our wounded recover, our detainees be free, and our fallen heroes rest in peace.
