Criminal hands carried out a cowardly terrorist campaign targeting civilians in the residential neighborhoods and public markets in the city of Idlib and the towns and villages in its countryside. Several explosions using improvised explosive devices and car bombs rocked those areas, killing and injuring dozens of civilians on Sunday, the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
The Syrian Coalition condemns the heinous terrorist crimes which have taken place over the past 24 hours deliberately targeting civilians and turning the Eid celebrations into a scene of crime, murder, and bloodshed.
As a new Eid comes, the Syrian people across Syria exchange condolences instead of good wishes while the murderous regime and terrorist organizations are still at large targeting civilians by various means. All this is taking place amidst complete absence of any role by the international community and its continued inability to shoulder its responsibilities to find a solution to stop the bloodshed, guarantees the rights of the Syrian people and achieves their legitimate aspirations for freedom and dignity.
May our wounded recover, our detainees be free, and our fallen heroes rest in peace.
Long live Syria and the Syrian people, free and with honor.
