The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) said that it had documented 42 violations of the “cessation of hostilities” agreement by the Russian and regime forces on Thursday, bringing the total number of violations to 477 since the agreement took effect on February 27.
The monitoring group said that 29 civilians, including 5 children and a woman, were killed in attacks by Russian and regime forces on Thursday, while 4 detainees were killed under torture in Assad’s prisons.
The breaches of the agreement included attacks by warplanes and heavy weaponry. The Russian air force conducted many airstrikes on towns and villages in rural Idlib with no ISIS presence. Russian airstrikes also targeted the town of Kafr Zeita in rural Hama and Al-Marj area in eastern Ghouta.
SNHR said that it had documented an attack by barrel bombs on the town of Kafrnabouda northwest of Hama, while a number of areas in rural Aleppo were targeted by rockets and naval mines.
The Assad regime and Russia’s breaches of the truce were recorded in the provinces of Dara’a, Damascus, Hama, Idlib and Aleppo, according to SNHR. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
