Spokesman for the Syrian Coalition Salem al-Meslet condemns the assassination attempt against Muhanna Jaffala, general commander of Abu Amara Brigades while he was leaving a rebel headquarters in the neighborhood of Al-Mashhad in Aleppo.
Abu Amara Brigades accused the Assad’s regime of being behind the assassination attempt. In response, the Brigades carried out operations against regime forces in the regime-held parts of Aleppo. Last night it assassinated Ali Haider, a regime forces commander and targeted a regime military truck with an improvised explosive device in front of the Military Academy in Al-Hamdaniya district, killing four pro-regime militants.
It is worth mentioning that Jaffala was a university student who participated anti-regime protest since the early days of the Syrian Revolution. He and a number of his colleagues then formed the Abu Amara Brigades which managed to assassinate senior regime army commanders and security members inside regime-held parts of Aleppo and its countryside.
