The Syrian National Coalition’s General Assembly concluded its 50th meeting which was held via video links. It discussed expansion of the Coalition as ministers of the Syrian Interim Government submitted their work reports for the first quarter of the year 2020.
Representatives and ambassadors of the Syrian Coalition in the Arab states and the rest of the world submitted their work reports to the General Assembly.
The Assembly approved the membership bids for five new representatives from the Syrian Tribal Council and one representative from the Association of the Syrian Independent Kurds in accordance with a recommendation by the political committee.
The Syrian Interim Government submitted its work report for the second quarter of this year to the General Assembly.
The Minister of Education, Hoda Al-Abssi, talked about the measures taken by the Ministry, especially switching to online education and providing the necessary tools for that process, most importantly recording of lessons and making them available to all students.
The Minister of Health, Maram Al-Sheikh, talked about the precautionary measures to prevent an outbreak of the coronavirus in the liberated areas, the conducing of tests on the suspected cases, sterilization operations for public facilities and institutions, awareness-raising campaigns on the virus and methods of prevention, as well as setting up isolation and quarantine rooms.
