A delegation from the Syrian Coalition’s Supreme Hajj Committee headed by Secretary-General of the Coalition, Nazir al-Hakim participated in the International Conference on Hajj and Umrah in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.
The delegation included Samer Birqdar, Director of Syrian Hajj, Participants discussed a number of proposals and solutions that are meant to be submitted to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj. They also listened to a detailed explanation on the Hajj Fund which was established by Malaysia and Indonesia and on Eid Al-Adah sacrifices project.
Hakim met with advisor of the Indonesian President, Mauritania’s Minister of Hajj, Libya’s Minister of State for Hajj Affairs, and heads of delegations from various countries on the sidelines of the conference.
During the conference, Hakim talked about the affairs related to Syrian pilgrims and the services provided by the Supreme Hajj Committee to pilgrims coming from Syria and neighboring countries.
Hakim pointed to the improvements that were introduced to the Hajj missions during the latest Hajj season. He thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the great efforts it is making and which are noticeably increasing year after year. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
