Syrian Interim Government Receives Syria’s Karate Team

Syria’s karate team arrived in the headquarters of the Syrian interim government in Gaziantep on Friday. The team was welcomed by Minister of Culture Taghreed Al Hajli, who emphasized the “importance of raising the flag of the Syrian revolution in various international forums, including sport events. The Free Syrian Athletes are Syria’s ambassadors who promote the cause of the Syrian people in the international forums.” Syria’s karate team has won four gold medals and one silver at the World Karate Championship held in Kosovo. The team was composed of Ahmed Jamil Ali, a coach and international referee, Muhannad al-Ali and Muhammad Ali, both world champions. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
