The Syrian Coalition’s political committee has appointed Salem al-Meslet as spokesperson for the Syrian Coalition. Meslet, who was born in 1959, is a prominent researchers in the field of politics and strategic affairs and a researcher at the Gulf Research Center and its deputy director. He has received a master’s degree in political science from the United States of America. He served as president of the Council of the Syrian Tribes, a member of the Executive Bureau of the Syrian National Council and chief of the Jabour tribe in Syria and Iraq. The appointed as was made during the meeting of the political committee which ends today and which discussed many files, most importantly the international coalition’s strikes against ISIS, the situation of the Syrian refugees who fled the town of Ayn al-Arab (Kobanî) and the needs of Syrian refugees in neighboring countries.
