Secretary-General Mohammed Yahya Maktabi condemns the violence practiced by the Iranian authorities against civilians in the Iranian city of Mahabad and before it in the occupied Ahvaz region.
“The photos flowing from of the Iranian city of Mahabad depict the grave violence practiced by the Iranian regime against its people and mimics the Assad regime’s brutal crackdown against the popular uprising in Syrian. They also reveals that the Iranian regime has had the upper hand in the suppression of the Syrian people’s revolution and their demands for freedom and dignity since the beginning of the revolution.”
“The tyrannical Iranian regime continues to trade with the blood of its people and squanders their wealth to achieve its expansionist and colonial ambitions. It also seeks to export its internal crises as many reports revealed that Iran’s economy has considerably crumbled in the last four years and is on the verge of collapse,” Maktabi said.
