The Syrian Coalition gratefully thanks the Turkish government and people for opening their doors for Syrians fleeing the border town of Tal Abyad.
The Turkish army helped thousands of Syrian refugees gathered at Akcakale border crossing pass into Turkey. The Syrian refugees, exhausted from fatigue, hunger and thirst, were provided with food and drink and then were allowed to cross into Turkey to protect them from clashes raging between ISIS and the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG).
Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said that 2,800 Syrian refugees crossed into Turkey on Sunday to escape the clashes taking place east and south of Tal Abyad. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Anadolu)
