As part of preparations for the current hajj season, head of the Syrian Coalition’s hajj committee Abdul Ilah Alfahd toured the Syrian delegation in Saudi Arabia and the pilgrims’ places of accommodation, and he met with heads of Syrian groups.
Alfahd said that all types of services are being provided to pilgrims, pointing out that a medical mission is accompanying the Syrian delegation to provide medical care to the pilgrims. He added that the pilgrims have not met any difficulties so far.
The committee received the Syrian delegation numbering around 12,000 pilgrims and provided them with instructions as well as guidance as to their places of residence.
The Syrian pilgrims have been flown to the city of Jeddah from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt.
Applications for hajj had been submitted to the offices of Hajj Committee in Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan. The Committee has the exclusive right to receive and manage the applications.
The Committee also oversees the issuance of visas from the Kingdom Saudi Arabia, transportation and housing of pilgrims in Mecca and Medina, and the holy sites.
