The Syrian Coalition on Wednesday concluded a two-day workshop in the Turkish city of Gaziantep on the problems facing the young people and students in Syria and the host countries. Members of the Coalition and the Syrian interim government and a group of Syrian young people and students participated in the workshop.
The move came as part of efforts by the Syrian Coalition over the past few months in collaboration with Syrian civil society organizations to reach out to all segments of the Syrian society and lay out the ground for sustainable cooperation between the Coalition and civil society organizations.
The workshop discussed ways to support university education inside Syria and the host countries as university graduates will form the nucleus of any future reconstruction or reform processes in Syria.
Interim Minister of Higher Education Abdul Aziz Dugheim gave an overview of the status of education in the liberated areas, pointing out that the Ministry made six agreements with international universities to help Syrian students complete their studies.
Dugheim noted that the Ministry opened new branches in the liberated areas of Dara and Quneitra provinces. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
