President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, received prominent Turkish activist Malak Zeynep Bulut and honored her for her noble stances towards the Syrian people and her support of the Syrian refugees in Turkey.
The meeting brought together members of the political committee, Yasser Al-Farhan and Abdel-Majid Barakat who thanked Bulut for her efforts to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between the Syrian and Turkish peoples.
Al-Hariri emphasized the role of activists and public figures in refuting misinformation; promoting the true picture and facts; and spreading awareness in society.
Al-Hariri expressed his rejection of provocative, racist rhetoric on social media. “We in the SOC have already launched a media campaign to clarify the Syrian issue to the Turkish public opinion.”
He pointed out that plenty of misinformation and unsubstantiated rumors are being circulated about Syrians in Turkey, stressing that Syrian refugees in Turkey are fully observing the legal procedures in Turkey. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
