A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) visited the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities institution (YTB) to discuss securing scholarships for Syrian students.
The delegation comprised SOC’s President Nasr Al-Hariri, member of the political committee, Badr Jamous, and member of the General Assembly, Ahmed Bakkoura.
The delegation met with YTB President Abdullah Eren as they discussed opportunities for cooperation in the areas of culture and education.
Al-Hariri stressed the need for cooperation to establish a joint mechanism between the SOC and YTB in order to develop joint projects in northern Syria and Turkey.
Al-Hariri stressed the importance of coordination regarding the enrolment of Syrian students in Turkish universities. He pointed to the need to develop joint projects in the areas of psychological support, vocational education, and the qualification of Syrian teaching staff operating in northern Syria.
