The Syrian Interim Government’s (SIG) Minister of Finance and Economy Abdel Hakim Al-Masri met with Minister of Justice Abdullah Abdel Salam, Director of Internal Control, Director General of the Mills Foundation, and representatives of local councils in the liberated areas.
Participants discussed ways to maintain subsidies for bread in the liberated areas following the suspension of support from some organizations and donors.
Al-Masri said that SIG-run bakeries will continue to sell 700-gram pack of bread for one Turkish lira, adding that the wheat mills will continue to operate at full capacity in order to supply flour for the bakeries. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
