The SOC’s delegation were received by the Council’s Secretary General Salem Al-Meslet and members of the advisory body.
This meeting came as part of the SOC’s plans to strengthen communication and coordination with all components, bodies and personalities comprising the SOC’s General Assembly.
The two sides discussed the Russian airstrikes that targeted the Syrian National Army in the Duwaila area in Idlib province on Monday, stressing that the attack constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement in the fourth de-escalation zone in northwestern Syria.
The two sides talked about the national dialogue the SOC launched and its importance on the level of strengthening national cohesion and preserving the unity of the Syrian people.
They also discussed the situation in east of the Euphrates and the gross violations being committed by the PKK and PYD terrorist organizations. Al-Hariri stressed the Council’s important role in the region and in preserving the unity of Syria and its people.
Moreover, the two sides discussed the SOC’s efforts to improve the situation of Syrians in Syria and host countries; intensify local meetings to develop national political vision and reach a real partnership; and strengthen international relations to mobilize support for the Syrian revolution.
The two sides also stressed the need to step up efforts in the liberated areas and to work with the Syrian Interim Government and executive institutions to improve basic services.
The Council praised the SOC’s efforts, especially with regard to strengthening relations with all spectra and components of Syrian society. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
