The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Youth Office met with the Executive Office of the Student’s Union, student bodies at the Free University of Aleppo, the International Shaam University, and the International University of Science and Renaissance at the SOC’s office in Azaz, rural Aleppo.
The meeting brought together SOC’s President Nasr Al-Hariri, Coordinator of the SOC’s office in rural Aleppo, Ahmed Al-Shehadi, and SOC’s member, Najib Rahmoun.
Participants discussed the difficulties and obstacles facing university students as they emphasized that obtaining official recognition of university degrees and securing job opportunities must be among the top priorities.
Al-Hariri stressed that the SOC is an institution for all Syrians as it represents their voice and seeks to make it heard. He pointed out that the SOC has developed a plan to support the youth and engage them in institutions and decision-making, citing the opening of an office for youth affairs in the liberated areas.
