The Syrian Coalition’s Office of Studies and Documentation on Wednesday concluded a workshop that was held under the title “The Opposition’s Vision on Constitutional and Electoral Issues.” These issues will be discussed at the upcoming round of Geneva talks due to be held on November 28.
Participants in the workshop, which began on Tuesday, included a number of Syrian research centers and specialized national organizations as well as the Syrian Coalition’s legal committee and constitutional consultants participating in the Geneva negotiations, Astana and Lausanne workshops. The Syrian Interim Government also participated in the workshop.
The workshop resulted in a set of conclusions and recommendations regarding the constitution and the electoral law during the transitional period. The recommendations will be presented to the Coalition’s political committee and the opposition’s High Negotiations Committee. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
