President of the Syrian Coalition Abdurrahman Mustafa said that the time has come to confront Iran’s encroachment into the region and force its militias out of Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen. He underscored that a lasting peace begins with putting an end to Tehran’s sectarian, terrorist activities against the peoples of the region.
President Mustafa pointed out that peoples of the region suffered greatly from the terrorist activities Iran is orchestrating in the region, whether directly or indirectly. These activities are clearly aimed at destabilizing the countries of the region, sowing chaos, and exporting the “Khomeini revolution,” he added.
President Mustafa blamed the Iranian terrorist militias for the failure of all rounds of negotiations aimed at finding a political solution in Syria. “Iran is not looking for a solution as it is seeking to further destabilize the region using its militias to draw the world’s attention away from its nuclear project.”
Moreover, President Mustafa pointed out that Iran continues to defy the international community by sending more militias and trying to encroach into new areas. He stressed that the way these terrorist militias were deployed across Syria indicated that they fully occupied the country while using the Assad regime and its forces as supporting militias.
The language of dialogue will no longer work with the Iranian mullahs regime, President Mustafa said, calling on the international community to putting an end to this nightmare in the Middle East. Steps must be taken to begin the stage of building a lasting, mutual peace among all the peoples of the region away from the sectarian strife that Tehran has been fueling and using as a weapon to spread hatred in the region.
