President of the Syrian Coalition, Abdurrahman Mustafa, said that the terrorist bombings that rocked towns in northern rural Aleppo on Wednesday aimed to spread chaos and instability and instill fear in the areas that provide protection to civilians.
President Mustafa stressed that these attacks are “evidence of the inability and lack of options for sponsors of terrorism.” He continued: “Nothing can break the Syrian people’s will to regain freedom and bring all criminals to justice, nor will anyone succeed in derailing the revolution from its goals to topple the tyrannical, murderous regime.”
“The ongoing crimes against the Syrian people must stop,” President Mustafa added. He stressed that that the Syrian Coalition and the Free National Army will spare no effort to defeat “sponsors of terror and their cronies.”
A string of terrorist bombings hit the towns of Azaz, Al-Bab, and Al-Raei in northern rural Aleppo on Wednesday. The attacks claimed the lives of five people, including children, and left dozens more wounded as well as destroyed civilian property.
Local activists said that among the victims was Nur Jabbalawi, a 12-year-old girl known locally in Azaz as the “biscuits vendor.”
In a press release issued on Thursday, the Syrian Coalition condemned the attacks which “have further exposed the true nature of the terrorist forces seeking to cause chaos and instill fear and instability in the areas providing protection for civilians.”
The Coalition called upon the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to “safeguard security and enforce international resolutions as the only way to enable the Syrian people to achieve peace in their homeland and to fight terrorism in all its forms.” (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
