On Wednesday, the forces of the Assad regime and Russia intensified their artillery bombardment of residential neighborhoods in the town of Maarat Al-Naasan in eastern Idlib’s countryside. This onslaught resulted in a civilian sustaining injuries and extensive damage to local properties.
According to reports from local activists, the joint forces of the Assad regime and their Russian counterparts continue to unleash heavy artillery fire and guided missiles upon houses, villages, and towns across the liberated regions. Additionally, parked cars and innocent civilians have also become targets.
The Syrian Civil Defense revealed that the Assad regime forces launched two guided missiles at a farmer’s vehicle on the road connecting Atarib town and Kafr Nuran village in the western countryside of Aleppo on Tuesday. This attack, although not causing any injuries, underscores the ongoing danger faced by civilians.
These assaults on civilian populations persist due to a marked absence of accountability and the lack of robust measures by the international community to halt these relentless attacks within the liberated territories.
