The liberated areas in Aleppo province’s countryside have been incessantly targeted by Assad regime forces and their associated militias, leading to civilian casualties and substantial destruction of homes and properties.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) reported that 8-year-old Yousef al-Nama lost his life due to shelling by the Assad regime’s forces in Aleppo governorate’s eastern countryside on Wednesday. The tragic incident occurred on August 23, 2023, following injuries sustained on August 18, 2023, when a rocket fired by regime forces struck his residence in the southern section of Al-Bab town in eastern rural Aleppo.
The human rights organization underscored that the Assad regime’s forces have violated international human rights laws by causing the child’s demise. The SNHR calls for the individuals responsible for this violation to be held accountable.
