Massive demonstrations occurred on Friday in several locations including Al-Bab, Al-Atareb, and Marea in the Aleppo countryside, the town of Busra Al-Sham in the Daraa countryside, and the Al-Rukban refugee camp in the Al-Tanf region of southeastern Syria.
During these demonstrations, participants renewed their calls for political change and the removal of the Assad regime. Demonstrators prominently displayed banners expressing solidarity with the people of Suwayda in their own protests, emphasizing the unity of the Syrian people.
In liberated areas of Syria, demonstrators raised banners in a show of support. Some of these banners bore messages such as “Glorious Deir Ezzor and Sweida, we stand with you. The people demand regime change. The Syrians’ suffering is shared: tyranny, poverty, unemployment. The Syrian Spring signifies freedom for all Syrians without discrimination.”
Notably, Al-Sir (Karamah) Square in the city of As-Suwayda witnessed a large-scale demonstration on Friday, featuring participants from across the province. These demonstrators also called for political change and the ousting of the Assad regime.
